This was our lunch today. It was delightful. We wanted to do something new this weekend. We decided that we wanted to go to a body of water. We called some friends and planned on going to Guadalupe River State Park. We had never been there before so we didn't know what to expect. It was perfect for our family with small kids. The river didn't go any deeper than 3 feet or so. We didn't have to keep a close eye on Tyler and Carter happily sat in the river and played with the water and ate some rocks.
Here is Carter with a handful of rocks. He sat and played and splashed. He is such a water bug.

Jamie got the kids to build a wall of rocks...why, I am not sure but it kept them busy hunting for rocks.

Here is Elena, Maggie and little Dane.

Me and the Carter man.

In order to get all the way wet you had to lay on your back or belly. This is me and Jamie in the middle of the river enjoying each others company.

Soon enough Tyler and Carter came to join us. I was thinking of using this as a Christmas card. I think its a great picture of everyone. ha ha.
We couldn't have asked for a better day to be out doors. It wasn't incredibly hot, but it wasn't cold either. We had a great picnic spot with wonderful shade. Really it was a perfect day. We had a fabulous day with some wonderful friends.
