All that glitters!

Saturday was USAA's holiday party! We had so much fun! We met up with some of Jamie's work buddies and their wives. Such good company! We had a fantastic dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the desserts!

This is us in the karaoke room. It was incredibly entertaining!

We walked around and looked and tasted all that USAA had set up for us to entertain ourselves with. My favorite was Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! Mmmm fudge! We made our way back down to the main part of the Alamo dome and enjoyed the show that REO put on!

I am not super familiar with all of REO's songs but I knew quite a few. We sung the songs that we knew and enjoyed the concert!

Me and Jame. We had an absolute blast and can't wait to see who USAA has come next year!

NEW MOON!

So, I was one of the crazzies that was out waiting in line for hours to see the New Moon movie. I was still feeling sick and couldn't go more than 2 hours without eating something. But I did it. I stayed up way past my normal bedtime and got to drool, I mean watch the movie. Boy was it good. We had quite the group that went to the movie. I believe when we bought our tickets we bought a total of 30 or around there all in a group. We didn't get to sit all together let alone stand in line together but the above picture is the group I was waiting in line with.

The four ladies that are smiling at the camera are part of our New Moon group.

There are 10 of us in this picture some you can't see cause it was a dark corner. We all had fun with our yelling and screaming...ok maybe just me.

There's 10 in this group too. What fun! We'll be crazy I am sure and see Eclipse in June when it comes out. In my opinion there is nothing better than seeing a hyped up movie at a midnight showing. Everyone is just as excited as you are and when the crowd is all noisey, well it just that much better.

End of Fall Soccer Season Party

Tyler finished up his 2nd season of soccer. He sure goes in and out of loving it. I think he only loves it when he makes a goal. This season he made 3 goals! Whahoo go Tyler. We loved watching him play and develop sporting skills. He plays with 5 other boys 3 of which go to our ward and 2 girls. It is so interesting how these kids make such huge strides with learning rules over a short amount of time. It's going to be so much fun watching Tyler continue to grow and develop himself into a nice well rounded little man.

I am slowly going crazy....

I was conducting today in primary and I goofed a couple of times on peoples names which isn't that all uncommon for me but I think what took the cake in crazy was when I was dismissing the junior primary to go to class, I was looking for the most reverent class to go first and instead of saying "so-in-so your class is being very reverent you can go" I said "so-in-so your class is being very pregnant today.....wow I was crying in embarrassment and out of sheer humor. Who says that? Me apparently.

Black Hole

I think I can officially say that I am finding my way out of this black hole I call the 1st trimester! This pregnancy has been very different from the other two. I think that my brain got rewired several weeks ago, along with my stomach! I have a hard time remembering simple things, words, I am eating strange things that I would never eat not pregnant and well, you get the point. Pregnancy does strange things to women. I have a friend that is pregnant as well and she tried to buy her groceries with a pair of socks.....no joke. I really think I am working with 2 brain cells rubbing together. Oh the fun joys of bringing another little one into this world! I should have a few good weeks before all the real fun starts!

On a lighter note! I am totally stoked for New Moon tonight! pictures to come sometime tomorrow!

Adventures...

We have had quite a few adventures here at the Hillman house the past few weeks. I have been beyond tired! Smells have been aggravating me like crazy. I have been so nauseous that I haven't been able to function properly! I was in Wal-mart a couple weeks ago and I was walking the bread isle and I had to run to the garbage can at the other end of the isle...WHY? Because, the 2010 model of 'Hillman' will be arriving in June....baby number 3 is on it's way!

We find out what we are having on January 7th. Lets just hope this little bean cooperates and we can see if it's a boy or a girl!

Conversation between brothers

Carter: Tya, color?
Tyler: I can't color I have to go to school
Carter: Tya bus school?
Tyler: Yup I am going to ride the bus to school. When I get home we can color ok?
Carter: Tay. Bye Tya. Muah.

These conversations melt my heart as a mother. Makes me so happy and blessed that these two kiddos are mine and that they love each other...most of the time.

Jamie's Birthday Party Game Night!

Jamie turned the big 3-0 yesterday! We had a few friends over on friday night for a game night. While we were waiting for our friends to come over we snapped this shot. Once everyone arrived we busted out the Wii and a few games and played until mid-night. It was so much fun! We had the evening be a no kids evening which made it that much more enjoyable! Happy Birthday Jame!

When we got the primary program all finished and we were a couple weeks from the actual sunday that we would do the program we, as a presidency decided that after the program was all done and we had our lives all back in order we were going to get mani-pedi's as a presidency. 2 BIG BUSY FULL OF EVENTS.... days

Yay, Tyler! Today (in the picture) October 23rd is Tyler's 6th birthday! Yay! For his birthday Jamie and I went to Tyler's school and had lunch with him, a McDonald's lunch, of course! We asked Tyler where he wanted us to sit, with his class or at the parents table. He chose sitting with his class. Boy was that an experience! We loved it. We left laughing at so many things!

Mmmm. Tyler enjoying his hamburger from Mikki-D's!

This man cannot take a normal picture. Here is Jamie enjoying his lunch amongst the crazy Kindergartners
!
Nice full bellies! So cute. It's hard to think that I am a mom of a 6 year old. Whoa!

FRIDAY EVENING

For Tyler's birthday dinner he initially wanted chicken on rice. That is what he has wanted and has had for his birthday dinner for the last 3 years. So, I lovingly talked him out of chicken on rice and encouraged anything else. He eventually chose Olive Garden. Yum. We had dinner there which is always good. The waiters sung happy birthday to him. I wish I would have remembered that the camera was in my purse I could have some pretty cute pictures. The waiter put a cooks cap on Tyler and they sung a crazy happy birthday song to Tyler. He loved it! After dinner we headed home and opened some presents.

Opening presents! Every kids favorite part of their birthday!

Jamers and Tyler

Oooo! What is it?!

Booya! Just what he wanted!

SATURDAY MORNING!

My friend Jodi and I threw a baby shower for our dear friend Becky. She is due to have a baby boy next weekend. I saw a cake on the internet that I wanted to try and replicate. I think it turned out pretty close to the original!

I know it might be kinda weird but I thought it would look cute with the lettering on it. Becky and her husband haven't chosen a name yet so the baby is still baby Platt.

Some of the ladies playing the game. I had them create with magazines what they think the baby is going to look like. Some of these ladies got pretty creative and hilarious all at the same time.

Becky is the one in the teal shirt. She is sitting next to Camille. So cute!

SATURDAY AFTERNOON!

Tyler's friend birthday party!
The transformer cake without candles.

With the candles.

Singing happy birthday to Mr. Tyler!

opening presents!

Whahoo! What a busy couple of days! But we sure had a ton of fun! And Tyler is enjoying all his new toys!

Yesterday, Tyler had a Big, Awesome Day! What did he do you ask? Well, Tyler had a soccer game in the morning and scored a goal! Whahoo gooo Tyler! Then later on in the afternoon he surprised me and Jamie and took off riding on his bike.....WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS! We could hardly believe it! I had tears coming to my eyes I was so proud of my boy! We let Tyler choose where we went for dinner last night and he chose Freddy's. He also got to choose any kind of ice cream that he wanted too! WOW I am so proud of my boy! Yay Tyler!

Happy *late* Canadian Thanksgiving!

We had a great celebration yesterday! I absolutely love being married to Jamie for many reasons but one of those reasons is we get TWO Thanksgivings! Yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving! We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with some friends to help us celebrate! Our camera has officially kicked the bucket so I don't have any pictures from the grand occasion!

Yay for Canadians, Eh!

Another funny

We took the boys down by the Zoo to ride the train this afternoon. We were riding the train and going over a bridge and Tyler says,

Tyler: Whoa, look at all those knee pads!

Me: Knee pads, those are lily pads.

CARTER'S SECOND BIRTHDAY!

Yay, Carter is 2! Carter absolutly loves SpongeBob. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he said "SpongeBob Birthday Cake". Here is the cake that I created for him. I think I did pretty dang good for my third cake ever!

Carter has had a wonderful day and has really enjoyed having everyone sing happy birthday to him every time he see's someone. When it was lunch time I asked him what he wanted, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, sandwich. He went "Hmm, Donalds". So I took the little man to McDonalds today for his birthday lunch.

For his birthday dinner Carter chose tacos. He loves tacos. Jamie picked up some yummy tacos on his way home from work. He picked up a famliy pack and thought that it would be enough for our little famliy. Tyler downed 3 tacos. Carter gobbled up 2 tacos. I couldn't believe it. I think our days of going out to eat are quickly coming to an end.

We had a little birthday party for little Carts. We opened presents and ate some birthday cake. It was a good time.
This is Carter with his first present that he got. He loves to color so I think it was a wonderful gift. Thanks Asher and Dane!

This gift was from Freddie. Carter loves to play with "guy" as he calls any toy that resembles a person. He would line all the soldiers up and then knock them down. He is so funny!

It took us awhile to get him to open up the third and final gift. This is the gift that Tyler picked out for him.

I guess I didn't get a picture of the gift. It is this helicopter that talks. It is pretty sweet as far as noise toys go.

Jamie and I and also Jamie's mom and dad got Carter a big boy bike for his birthday. He LOVES his bike. I will have to post pictures of him on his big boy bike. He is so proud of his bike. And Carter knows that it's green.

We are singing happy birthday to Carts right now.

Seriously, what a cool cake.

Right after the candles were blown out.

Once the cake was all gone. I think this picture is so funny.
