Family Visit Day 3

On this very nice day we took a day trip down to Corpus Christi. We rented a car so that we could all ride together. It was a lot of fun. Both boys had their personal babysitters all the way down and all the way back. It was great. I can't remember the last time that both boys did so great in a car.

As soon as the car was in park the boys got right in. They didn't waste any time.

After taking a dip in the ocean Ethan started digging a hole.

Carter came over to help dig.

Carter didn't like it inside the hole.

Tyler hanging out on the shore line.

We were able to back the car right up to the beach. My mom and I laid our towels out and watched everyone in the ocean.

The icecream man drove by and Grandma treated everyone with something icecream. Carter was very protective of his icecream. He wouldn't let anyone come close to him while he was eating it. What was so funny is he licked the icecream like a sucker. It was hilarious to watch.

He was upset that the eyeball/gumball fell on the sand. He didn't know what to do. He didn't want me to pick it up but he wanted it. He was one confused little boy.

Melting icecream. He had it all over. The great thing about being at the beach. When he was all done we just took him to the water to clean off.

Colorful mustache.

Jamie and Bradie had fun burrying Ethan in the sand. I thought the tire tracks added to the picture.

This is how Carter spent majority of the afternoon just sitting in the water letting the waves hit him. He was happy as pie to sit there.

I swear I was there. I guess because I am the picture taker that's what happens. We had such a great visit with them!

Family Visit Day 2

Bad picture above, apologies. We got up Friday morning and headed to the famous Taco Taco Cafe. Mmmm, delish! We all enjoyed the food there. After we had breakfast/Lunch we went to see Up. Such a good movie! I would highly recommend it!

After the movie everyone but me Bradie and Tyler headed home. The three of us went to the mall. I am not really sure why Tyler came, he complained the whole time. But towards the end I think he started to have fun. We stopped off at Target before picking up the pizza for dinner and got Brad a new swim suit. We also got some air heads. That is where the picture below came from.

High quality blue tongues!

Family Visit Day 1

We had such a fun time with my mom, brother and sister. The majority of the first day we sat around in pj's just talking and watching the kids run circles around us. They had a 12 hour drive to San Antonio from Kansas City. When Jamie got home from work we had dinner and then headed downtown to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. This is us minus Tyler who didn't want to stop to take a picture. He is off to the left of the picture hiding.

Here's me and my sister and brother. They are both younger than me but somehow they got the tall genes. Where did I go wrong? Not enough milk I guess.

Mom took this picture. And Tyler is still hiding from the camera.

He gives in.

Oh so cute. Carter walked the whole time by himself. He got side tracked only a couple of times but that is expected. This was on one of his trips. He climbed to the top of the stairs and thought he was so cool cause no one came after him. I think this picture captures his feelings.

Tyler climbed up after Carts and decided picture taking wasn't so bad.

It's done! IT's DONE!

Our living room floors are done! We have been working on them since we moved in the end of February. They turned out so nice, I am just glad they are finally done. We have furniture upstairs that needs to be moved into the front room so once everything in both rooms get set then I will take some final pictures.

Our 7th Anniversary!

"Marriage is sanctified when it is cherished and honored in holiness. That union is not merely between husband and wife; it embraces a partnership with God." - Russell M. Nelson

“The most important single thing that any Latter-day Saint ever does in this world is to marry the right person, in the right place, by the right authority.” - Bruce R. McConkie

"An eternal marriage is eternal. Eternal implies continuing growth and improvement. It means that man and wife will honestly try to perfect themselves. It means that the marriage relationship is not to be frivolously discarded at the first sign of disagreement or when times get hard. It signifies that love will grow stronger with time and that it extends beyond the grave. It means that each partner will be blessed with the company of the other partner forever and that problems and differences might as well be resolved because they are not going to go away. Eternal signifies repentance, forgiveness, long-suffering, patience, hope, charity, love, and humility. All of these things are involved in anything that is eternal, and surely we must learn and practice them if we intend to claim an eternal marriage." - F. Burton Howard

I have been so blessed with Jamie as my husband. He makes my days brighter. My love for him grows everyday. He is an amazing husband and a wonderful father. I cannot ask for any better. I love you James!

Our Anniversary Weekend - - planned by Jamie!

For the last few years Jamie has wanted to surprise me for our anniversary but has never been able to keep it from me, until this year. He told me that I needed to find someone to watch our 2 monkey's for two nights and that is all he told me I needed to do. I dropped the kids off around 4 on friday evening and Jamie said he wasn't going to be home from work until 6. So I had 2 hours to myself to get ready before Jamie came and took me somewhere. He showed up right at 6 and took me to the Saltgrass for dinner. This is us right outside the restaurant.
I have been dying to see Wolverine the last few weeks, so after dinner Jamie took me to see it. This is us in the movie theater before the movie started.

We paid a little extra to go into an upgraded theater. These seats were huge! I could sit indian style and there was still room on either side of me. The seats were incredibly comfy too! I had to get a picture of the seats. Jamie thinks I am crazy for documenting our weekend but oh-well I did it anyway.

On Saturday morning we slept in and after I got out of the shower I asked Jamie what we were doing so I could dress appropriatly and he said we were off to Six Flags! Whahoo! I love that place! So we grabbed a quick breakfast and off to Six Flags we went. The weather was so hot when we got to the park. We had mega lines to wait in just to get into the park. We were in line for the first rollercoaster and were next in line for the ride and it started to rain. So they had to close the park down because of the rain and lightning. So we waited, and we waited until we heard one of the workers say that nothing could go back up and running until there has been no lightning for 1 hour. So we left.
This is us when we got to the car. I wanted to capture our disappointment but I think we just look goofy. But it's all good.

We ran home and changed and then Jamie took me to Panara Bread for lunch (my fav). After lunch it was still raining so we went and saw Terminater. I am not a huge terminater fan but I gotta say Christian Bail plays a good John Conner.

After the movie the sun was out so we headed back over to SixFlags and road a couple of coasters before the park closed.

I have always wanted to go to Brunch on Sunday mornings but we typically have church. So that is one thing that Jamie had planned for Sunday. He took me to a really nice place called The Guenther House. It is an old flour mill. It was really cool. Except for the part that when we got there there was an hour and 45 minute wait. Instead of wait that long we went to the bakery that they had and got a couple of things and called it Brunch. Soon after we finished eating our bakery goodies we headed back and got our kiddos. We missed them terribly!

I think they missed us too! This is Tyler and Carter as we were heading back to our house. They seem like they were happy to have us back.

We had a flash flood down pour on that Sunda too. We always jump in the car and drive through all the puddles. This is out my window. Pretty crazy huh?

There was so much standing water!

I had sooo much fun this past weekend! I didn't care if we stayed home and watched TV if that's what he had planned.....ok maybe I would care a little but it meant so much to me that he would plan a weekend for me.

Tyler's Preschool Graduation.

The preschool that Tyler has been going to this past year had their end of the year program with a little graduation ceremony for the older kids going on to kindergarten. They sang some really cute songs.

When they were all finished with the singing, they had the younger 2 classes go and sit with their families and the older ones went off the stage. Miss Roberta (Tyler's teacher) called the kids up and handed them a diploma.

This is a picture of Tyler being called up and taking the diploma.

He just about knocked Miss Roberta over when he gave her a hug. He loves her so much!

Tyler standing with his class.

Tyler's whole class! I love how they are wearing graduation caps!

They did a slide show, showing how the kids had grown up over the last year. All of the kids that were in Tyler's class had these pictures taken of them with a cap and gown on. I think it is so cute!

Here is Tyler after the little program with his 'diploma' with his graduation picture.

Tyler has one more day of school left and they are having a water party. He is so excited to wear his swimsuit to school! I am sure there will be pictures from that.
