Kiddie Park, goodness!

The boys had a blast riding all the rides at the Kiddie Park yesterday.  They both had wrist bands that allowed them to ride all the rides as many times as their little hearts desired!  I had to peel them away when Preston had had enough.

Hockey in Texas?? Who would have thought?!

Jamie won tickets to the San Antonio Rampage hockey game. Seriously hockey in Texas? Now that's just crazy! The Rampage played against the Houston team and lost but it was a great game full of fights, that's my kind of hockey!

Yucky picture of me, sorry. Had to document that we were actually there.

I think the best part of the whole night (besides one being out of the house and two being out of the house with no children) was that it was all completely free. The parking was free, tickets and an added bonus....we got tickets to the USAA suit where they had tons of yummy food and drinks. It was fantastic! When we got there we ate our hearts out and then after the first period when back for more! It was a great night out with my man!

A new member of the family

We got miss Allee tonight. She is the sweetest dog with the best temperament! The boys are in absolute love with her. She is very curious and spent the first 2 hours at home wondering around sniffing everything. The boys have wanted a dog for a long time and I finally caved! She is a great addition to our home and family!

WICKED!

There are a lot of June birthday's in my circle of friends here in San Antonio. For our birthdays we decided to have our husbands take us to see Wicked. In the above picture is Maren, and Elena. Maren has a June birthday and Elena needed to come for the great company of course. We had dinner at Canyon Cafe'. It was delicious! We all tried each others food except Mike's because he got meat loaf....who eats that????

This is Mike and his lovely wife Cindy. She is due with a bouncing baby boy here in a few weeks! Cindy has a June birthday.

Here we are!

I took this picture right outside the theater. I was so excited it was ridiculous really. I absolutely LOVED the show! I laughed so hard I seriously cried!

We went with 3 other couples that exited as soon as the curtain went down so there are no pictures with them. But this was our dinner party, just the girls!

Jamie and Mike acting all cool for the picture.

That is the theater right behind me. I was still crazy excited at this point. If you can't tell from the picture!

Anyone that hasn't seen Wicked must see it. It is soooo a MUST see!

My Birthday!

My boys know what I like to do more than anything if I have a choice. I love, love to shop. I should clarify, I don't like to shop just anywhere. We have some outlet malls just north of us here and I could spend a full 3 days just shopping up there. Jamie took the afternoon off work and took me and our kids up to San Marcos. We shopped until the boys couldn't take it anymore! I couldn't figure out how to turn this picture for some weird reason, but this is how the boys were when we were heading to our car when all the stores were closing!

After some mad shopping we went to Olive Garden. It was really late by the time we got to the restaurant.
I think because I am the only girl in our family I get a week long celebration. My birthday fell on a Monday this year and we went out shopping on my actual birthday then on Tuesday Jamie cooked me dinner and got me a cake from Dairy Queen. Since he has a job now he doesn't have the time to make the chocolate raspberry cake that I love. But that's ok.

Hills Suck. Especially when running a 10K

Today was the Women's 5K and 10K Lavender run. It was perfect weather to be running. Not to hot yet and there was a really nice breeze. I was a little nervous about running the 10K because I really haven't ran since the Beach to Bay. I am sad to say that my body didn't waste anytime relapsing. I struggled in this run, with no thanks given to all the hills! If I wasn't running up hill I was running down a hill. They were all monster hills.

The last mile and a half is completely up hill. Talk about kick your BUTT! But I did it! I didn't make a goal for this run but I think I did ok. It took me just over 1 hour to run a 10K. Not bad. I seriously am glad that I didn't collapse because by the end my legs were screaming from all the ups and downs!

This is my race buddy. Amy ran the 5K. She had to wait a little bit after her race for me. This was right after I finished so I was red faced and sweaty!

I gotta give a little shout out to Jamie and the boys. They came to cheer me on at the finish line. It was so nice to hear "Go Mommy, Go Mommy!" as I came up and around the last hill. It was so wonderful to have Jamie there to celebrate another race completed!

Family Visit Day 1

We had such a fun time with my mom, brother and sister. The majority of the first day we sat around in pj's just talking and watching the kids run circles around us. They had a 12 hour drive to San Antonio from Kansas City. When Jamie got home from work we had dinner and then headed downtown to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. This is us minus Tyler who didn't want to stop to take a picture. He is off to the left of the picture hiding.

Here's me and my sister and brother. They are both younger than me but somehow they got the tall genes. Where did I go wrong? Not enough milk I guess.

Mom took this picture. And Tyler is still hiding from the camera.

He gives in.

Oh so cute. Carter walked the whole time by himself. He got side tracked only a couple of times but that is expected. This was on one of his trips. He climbed to the top of the stairs and thought he was so cool cause no one came after him. I think this picture captures his feelings.

Tyler climbed up after Carts and decided picture taking wasn't so bad.

Beach to Bay 2009

This past weekend I did the Beach to Bay Marathon Relay. It was soo much fun! This is our relay team plus Laura's Mom in the center. We drove down Friday afternoon and got the keys to our condo and from there fun only began. We had a delicious spaghetti dinner with fettuccine Alfredo as well. I was so incredibly nervous about running! I hardly slept a wink the night before.
Go Blazin' Bubble Butt Busters! Heather and I (Heather is the one in the tan shirt) Got up at 5:30 to get to the start line by 7:00. We weren't sure what to expect as far as traffic how well things will be labeled and so on. We got to the start line around 6:30, the race started at 7am.
In this picture we are missing Laura who ran the 3rd leg so Julie is holding up her number for her.

Just being silly.

This is right before Heather starting running. Heather's leg was on the beach. She really enjoyed taking in the ocean scenary.

A part of the crowd that was there before the race started.

There was one team that was dressed like Indians. They all wore these loin cloth things. When the wind would blow you would see their entire bum. We got a good laugh out of this team.

This is me a few minutes before Heather came down the shoot to pass off to me. I was so nervous!

It's me. I had the second leg of the relay and my leg was 4.67 miles. I had a goal to run it in 30 minutes and because of my stupid broken pinky toe I missed my goal by 4 and a half minutes. But I'll take it. I was so happy that I came even that close to my goal. When I passed off to Laura there was no one there to celebrate with. The one person that I wanted there the most was back in San Antonio. I would have broken my other pinky toe to of had Jamie there with me when I finished.

After the race was finished. Minus Laura. We all proudly wore our metals!

After the race, we went around to some of the tents that were set up just pass the finish line and got some free stuff. Then we headed back to the condo and went to the pool for the rest of the afternoon. It was so nice to relax and chill for the rest of the day.

Becky, Kristen and Heather left around 7pm or so and soon after they left the rest of us went to a seafood place. (I can't remember the name of the restaurant). It was really good. I tried clam chowder for the first time and it was delishious!

We had a pretty cool storm that rolled in later on Saturday evening. This picture is from the balcony looking towards the beach. The clouds would roll and the light would move in this crazy way that I had never seen before.

What a fantastic weekend!

I am going to be running in the Lavender 10K in June and can hardly wait to do that race!
