All that glitters!

Saturday was USAA's holiday party! We had so much fun! We met up with some of Jamie's work buddies and their wives. Such good company! We had a fantastic dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the desserts!

This is us in the karaoke room. It was incredibly entertaining!

We walked around and looked and tasted all that USAA had set up for us to entertain ourselves with. My favorite was Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! Mmmm fudge! We made our way back down to the main part of the Alamo dome and enjoyed the show that REO put on!

I am not super familiar with all of REO's songs but I knew quite a few. We sung the songs that we knew and enjoyed the concert!

Me and Jame. We had an absolute blast and can't wait to see who USAA has come next year!

Happy *late* Canadian Thanksgiving!

We had a great celebration yesterday! I absolutely love being married to Jamie for many reasons but one of those reasons is we get TWO Thanksgivings! Yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving! We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with some friends to help us celebrate! Our camera has officially kicked the bucket so I don't have any pictures from the grand occasion!

Yay for Canadians, Eh!

Our Anniversary Weekend - - planned by Jamie!

For the last few years Jamie has wanted to surprise me for our anniversary but has never been able to keep it from me, until this year. He told me that I needed to find someone to watch our 2 monkey's for two nights and that is all he told me I needed to do. I dropped the kids off around 4 on friday evening and Jamie said he wasn't going to be home from work until 6. So I had 2 hours to myself to get ready before Jamie came and took me somewhere. He showed up right at 6 and took me to the Saltgrass for dinner. This is us right outside the restaurant.
I have been dying to see Wolverine the last few weeks, so after dinner Jamie took me to see it. This is us in the movie theater before the movie started.

We paid a little extra to go into an upgraded theater. These seats were huge! I could sit indian style and there was still room on either side of me. The seats were incredibly comfy too! I had to get a picture of the seats. Jamie thinks I am crazy for documenting our weekend but oh-well I did it anyway.

On Saturday morning we slept in and after I got out of the shower I asked Jamie what we were doing so I could dress appropriatly and he said we were off to Six Flags! Whahoo! I love that place! So we grabbed a quick breakfast and off to Six Flags we went. The weather was so hot when we got to the park. We had mega lines to wait in just to get into the park. We were in line for the first rollercoaster and were next in line for the ride and it started to rain. So they had to close the park down because of the rain and lightning. So we waited, and we waited until we heard one of the workers say that nothing could go back up and running until there has been no lightning for 1 hour. So we left.
This is us when we got to the car. I wanted to capture our disappointment but I think we just look goofy. But it's all good.

We ran home and changed and then Jamie took me to Panara Bread for lunch (my fav). After lunch it was still raining so we went and saw Terminater. I am not a huge terminater fan but I gotta say Christian Bail plays a good John Conner.

After the movie the sun was out so we headed back over to SixFlags and road a couple of coasters before the park closed.

I have always wanted to go to Brunch on Sunday mornings but we typically have church. So that is one thing that Jamie had planned for Sunday. He took me to a really nice place called The Guenther House. It is an old flour mill. It was really cool. Except for the part that when we got there there was an hour and 45 minute wait. Instead of wait that long we went to the bakery that they had and got a couple of things and called it Brunch. Soon after we finished eating our bakery goodies we headed back and got our kiddos. We missed them terribly!

I think they missed us too! This is Tyler and Carter as we were heading back to our house. They seem like they were happy to have us back.

We had a flash flood down pour on that Sunda too. We always jump in the car and drive through all the puddles. This is out my window. Pretty crazy huh?

There was so much standing water!

I had sooo much fun this past weekend! I didn't care if we stayed home and watched TV if that's what he had planned.....ok maybe I would care a little but it meant so much to me that he would plan a weekend for me.

Mother's Day

I had a fantastic Mother's Day! My boys took great care of me. They would have made me breakfast but we have 9 o'clock church and it's hard enough for us to get to church on time with out extras. So when we got home is when I got my breakfast. These roses were Jamie and Tyler's 'back up' flowers. Back up flowers you ask? Jamie and Tyler had ordered some flowers to be delivered on Saturday but they never arrived so at 9pm Saturday night Jamie and Tyler had to go "out". Then while we were at church they tried to deliver the flowers but well, we were at church. So when we got home Jamie called and the guy came back and delivered the flowers. They are so pretty! I am one lucky girl! I hope that the flower people do that every year so I get double!

I can't leave out the fabulous pin that Tyler made me in Primary! It says 'The World's Greatest Mom' and he decorated it with ribbon. He knows what his mama likes!

The delivered flowers.

These are the cards that I got. Jamie wrote the poem for me. It made me laugh and cry. He is so thoughtful. The big card is the back-up card and the little card is the one that came with the delivery flowers.

As if breakfast wasn't enough, they made me dinner too! And cleaned it up. Ahhh, it was such a great day. I think we should have 2 Mother's Day's a year. I think that every 6 mos would be perfect.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day as well!

EASTER!

I think I look terrible in this picture but everyone else looks good so I had to post it.

Don't you just love timer pictures. Half looking and smiling and the other half well, not.

This little booger is such a joy to take pictures of. He is a little stud. Just love him to pieces!

Tyler wasn't excited about taking pictures and it was like pulling teeth just to get the pictures that were taken. But he is such a good looking kid...don't you think?

I love my boys!

Jamie was making them laugh. I love the picture!

We had a great dinner filled with ham and scallop potatoes. Mmmm, it was delish. The Easter Bunny hid eggs and I forgot to take pictures of the kids doing their hunt. But just so you all know they loved it and had a ball.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

CHRISTMAS!

This is what the boys woke up to. Can you believe Santa blew up all those balloons??? He has to have his reindeer helping him right?

This is the plate after Santa and the reindeer got to it. And also the letter that Santa left the boys.

The stockings.

Carter having a grand old time with a bucket before opening presents.

Tyler and Carter finding their way to what Santa left them.

They both had a great time with all of the gifts that they got. Carter played and played and played with the John Deer truck. He loved that thing!

Christmas Eve

That Santa, he never misses anything! He made his usually delivery of pajamas to our house. He actually used an official "Santa Bag" this year! Tyler was ecstatic when the door bell rang...he knew exactly what was going to be on the other side!

Tyler passing out presents to everyone.

Carter opening his present. He got the idea really quick!

Carter was so excited when he pulled the PJ's out of the wrapping. He swung them around and put them around his neck like a scarf and thought it was hilarious. He kept us laughing!

Just hanging out!
I don't know why Tyler makes all these funky faces lately but, this one is pretty funny.

Grandma and the two Thomas the train boys!

This is the plate of cookies and carrots and the letter that Jamie helped Tyler do for Santa. Before Tyler went to bed he and Mare' sprinkled some frosted flakes and oats out in the lawn to help the reindeer find their way to our house.

Tyler was so exhausted from being excited all day he crashed out around 8:30.

Gingerbread House Making

Mare' arrived this afternoon. Tyler has been dying to do the gingerbread house that I bought the day my grandparents got here. I told him that when Mare' got here, that that's when we would do the gingerbread house. As soon as dinner was finished that's what happened. Mare' and Tyler had a grand old time decorating the house.

The finished product. On one side Tyler put his name. The camera died before I could get a picture of that.
